Jen Gilbert is a physician wealth management consultant and Internet entrepreneur.

Jen’s entrepreneurial spirit is in her blood. She attained a solid foundation in service and business from her early experience of working at her parents’ three restaurants, starting when she was only 11 years old. At age 16, she took on the role of managing one of the restaurants. After graduating from college, Jen took over daily operations of the main restaurant and, even after her move to Philadelphia to start her promising medical sales career, she continued to help on weekends until the restaurants were sold in the mid 1980s.

Jen’s highly successful medical sales career carries a long list of accomplishments. She was the number 1 ranked sales representative in 1987, 1988, and 1989 for EBM Systems. The next year, at American Medical Electronics, she was also the top ranking sales representative – achieving 175% of her sales quota. The next year she came in at number 3, achieving 137% her quota. She also averaged an impressive 65% annual growth in sales and revenue.

Next, at Integrated Medical Systems, Jen was in the top 5% of sales, achieving 126% of quota, and at Spinal Concepts she was consistently within the top 3 distributors of her product line, reaching 116% of quota, 106% of quota, and 120% of quota in 2002, 2003 and 2004, respectively. In her final medical sales position at Integra Life Sciences, Jen ranked in the top 5% of all sales representatives, achieving 111% of her quota in 2005 and 2006.

Jen’s performance as a medical sales representative earned accolades from her co-workers and managers alike – and not just for her outstanding performance. One manager praised her “consistently positive and can-do attitude.” Another commented on how she seemed to “rise above the rest.” In fact, Jen was so impressive that one former manager referred to her as “the heart and soul of the team.”

Having achieved massive success in the corporate world, Jen found herself wanting something more – specifically, more time with her daughter. Knowing that financial freedom translates to life freedom as well, she became an avid student of the financial ways of the ultra-wealthy. Jen then took steps to rearrange her life to meet her goal of financial independence.

One of those life-changing decisions was to launch a business that gave Jen the freedom to spend more time with her family. She poured the same energy and passion into her business that she did into her medical sales career and experienced explosive success.

Today, she helps primary care physicians achieve their financial goals through education, information, and motivation. She founded her physician financial consulting business as a way to give back to the medical field that has given so much to her. She is a firm believer that physicians, busy with patients, need up-to-date, accurate information on financial matters in order to position themselves for a secure financial future. Jen is also a staunch advocate of taking control of one’s finances instead of handing the reins over to a financial advisor or firm.

Jen graduated from Gettysburg College with a business and economic degree and currently lives with her husband and daughter in Collegeville, PA.

Jen’s unique insight into and knowledge of both the medical field and world of finance and entrepreneurship is extremely important to World Articles. We value her contribution immeasurably. – World Articles
